Katungkulan Beach Resort, popularly known as Cavite de Boracay, a well known beach located inside Gregorio Lim Marine Base in Calumpang, Ternate, Cavite is often considered as one of the best white sand beach in Cavite.
Cavite de Boracay
The beach is a small cove that was discovered by a mountaineer, and can be overlook at the highest peak of Mt. Palay-Palay.
How to get there
Public Transport. Ride a bus in Coasta Mall Terminal bound to Ternate, Cavite. Stop in Maragondon, Cavite , then hire a tricycle ride heading to Gregorio Lim Marine Base and tell the driver that you'll be heading to Cavite de Boracay.
Journey
Day 1 - We finally picked Cavite de Boracay as our side trip over Mt. Buntis and Mt. Nagpatong the moment we mentioned about our planned trip after our hike in Mt. Palay - Palay since overnight in the mountain is no longer allowed. Guides and locals whom we talked with suggested to try visiting the white sand beach which is near our location at that time.
A vague night image of Cavite de Boracay
It was total darkness which surrounded the place and nothing can be seen while on the road, so we remain in the tricycle napping until our drop-off in the resort.
From the registration point, there is a distance of 2 km to the resort. It is required to have your own vehicle or rent a tricycle for you to be able to set foot in the beach.
Prior reaching the beach, we passed through the marine base followed by the stores and cottages. A diversity of people was around that night swimming and roaming the beach. We saw soldiers hanging out having a good time, affectionate dating couples, and fellow beach goers who were having their socials.
A night in Cavite de Boracay
Upon reaching the beach, we first look for an area to pitch our tent nearby the shore. Afterwards, we cook our food for dinner and had rest. Furthering our stay that night, we stand-by outside our tent and gaze at the sky to witness the stars and watch our fellow beach-goers enjoying swimming.
Day 2 - We got up early morning expecting sunrise, unfortunately there is none due to the weather condition at that time. So instead of sightseeing, we roam around within the vicinity of the resort, enjoyed swimming, and take pictures and videos.

Family Bonding
The presence of marines assures safeness of our stay, and there's a certainty of security and freedom to do everything legal in the beach without contemplating any harmful activities. We were able to talk with them discussing about life and work, and able to watch their aqua and marine training.
Activities in Cavite de Boracay
Swimming and Snorkeling
The fundamental things to do in the beach. We were favored by the weather that day, so we enjoyed swimming and snorkeling.

Hi. I'm finding a recent blog about Cavite de Boracay and you post was the one that I saw (almost 2013 pa Kasi yung iba) We are planning to go there before this year ends. Do you think they are still open up to this month? And how much will it cost if we will go there by commuting with respect to the absence of public transpo from the main gate to the vicinity of the beach? Thanks in advance. I'm hoping for your response.
ReplyDeleteHi nakapunta kana po ba ? Plan din po kasi sana namin magpunta this Dec 26. Hihingi lang ng advice :)
DeleteOur Adventure Team (Lets Camp Outdoor) will be visiting the beach on December 19-20. If ever interested po kayo, here's the event page link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1934506553442200/
DeleteGood morning mam, the beach still open though up to this month. In regard to the cost by commuting - the listed expenses in my blog is the exact cost with or without the absence of transpo from the main gate.
ReplyDeleteA piece of advice, you have to rent a tricyle until the vicinity of the beach, the distance from the main gate which is the registration area to the beach is a kilometer away. And try to contact them again to fetch on your way back to Maragondon, if you'll do commute.
Hi is the resort still open in public this 2017?
