Maranat Falls

Maranat falls is located at Rodriguez, Rizal. The Popular known Maranat is actually the name of the falls which belongs to Mt. Oriod, be informed.  Basically, all mountaineers who happen to hike the Mt. Maranat can see and swim to the gorgeous falls which is just below the campsite.  

One of our purposes in hiking Mt. Maranat is the falls, because of the endearing beauty it holds as said by our fellow mountaineers who’s been there. There is an instance when you hear a lot of positivity and beauty of a place, you’ll get excited and intrigued to visit and explore. Out of curiosity, we decided to hike the Mt. Maranat.

How to get there: Based from Manila

Take a FX ride going to Fairview (SM), the fare cost P55/head. Then, Wait for a bus or jeep with a signboard going to Tungkong Mangga that cost P14/head. Next, proceed to Licao- Licao terminal, a fare of P28/head will be paid.  Once you arrived at Licao-Licao, you can either walk or take a tricycle ride going to Barangay hall,  and pay a registration fee of P10/head before taking a journey to the mountain.

We took a night hike to explore the mountain which took us 3 am in the morning to reach the campsite, probably it worn us out to prepare the tents and other supplies to be prepared for. Due to long hours of hiking, some get to sleep to take a rest and others have some session until 6 am in the morning.

It was 7 am in the morning when we visited the falls which is just a walk away below the campsite, the falls is seemingly incredible and perfect. We almost spend our day time swimming, jumping, sleeping and the unending session in the falls.

We roam around, go up and down the falls to enjoy and explore. It was so refreshing to jump from the top, fly with the water off a cliff and make a big splash at the bottom sort like a natural water slide.

Certainly, there will always be a reason on coming back to this falls.An unexplainable reason that can only single out with the presence of the falls.
