The Journey
It was the 2nd day of November, All Souls Day, exactly 9:00 am in the morning when we rode in the rented boat from Anawangin Cove, where we spend our 1st day of Halloween vacation going to Capones Island. We had a 45 minutes boat ride to the island, upon reaching the island we have to swim and trek going up into the hill where the lighthouse is located.

Along the way there are some concrete, rocky steeps and grasses that will be passed by going up into the hill, be careful.

Lighthouse
Capones Island Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located in Capones Island off the coast of Brgy. Pundaquit, San Antonio, in the province of Zambales, in the Philippines. The light guide international vessels coming from the north to northwest towards Subic Bay or to Corregidor Island Lighthouse at the entrance of Manila Bay. It has first-order lenses when it was first lit on August 1, 1890.

 The Historic Lighthouse

Upon reaching the lighthouse, we instantly took the chance to go to the top. The lighthouse is abandoned, most of the part below the house was wrecked, covered with trees and grasses. it's kinda creepy as we were climbing but the group did pursue to reach the top because they are all in high spirit to fulfill their curiosity.

A short video clip at the top of the Lighthouse:

We were astounded in the view as its offers a perfect scene of the pundaquit beach, the neighboring islands, the anawangin cove and the purity of the ocean.

Anne, sightseeing at the top of the lighthouse

Try not to climb to the top of the lighthouse if you're afraid of heights, there's a adversity of it because the stairs going up is already loosened and partly damage, be reminded.

After spending a few minutes on the top, we settle down to roam around below the lighthouse before going back to pundaquit beach - to have a group picture.

An adventure to be treasured as stated by the ladies in the group which is very true, we can never perceived how truly wonderful the Capones Island. God creations are truly beautiful!

We headed back to Pundaquit beach at the house of ate Olive, to wash up and get dress before going back to Manila. A big Thank You to ate Olive!

Ate Olive and Christian

Indeed, It was a great journey and we'll surely be back.
