Travel Tips on Trekking Mt. Pulag

Traveling is always associated with the unknown, the exploration of unfamiliar and strange land. Being ready prior to the scheduled travel should always be prioritized amongst everything.

It is important to be informed about the mountains/destinations being explored – its weather condition and the different trails that will be tackled; we should always do a study beforehand to be educated about the place that will be ventured.

Mt. Pulag Adventure: Journey to the clouds

It is Luzon’s highest peak at 2,922 meters above sea level. Mt. Pulag peak is a tri-boundary of three provinces:  Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, and Benguet.

Mt. Pulag

Ibaloi people call the mountain as "Napuhlagan" which the name "Pulag" originate due to its bald status long ago before grass evolve around its area.

Awesome things to do in Cavite

A year has passed since I started to explore Cavite. I was amazed and contented with the landmarks, many mountains, beautiful beaches, and the hospitable people I acquainted.

It all began with the hope of one person to join him in his hike to one of the popular mountains in Cavite – Mt. Palay - Palay. Out of curiosity, I spontaneously agreed to participate in his climb. I held no expectation and didn’t even wonder what it would be like to travel to Cavite since it will be my first time to visit the province. I just simply hope that the province would not be so a typical one. When I was able to set foot in the province of Cavite, I was in awe and completely bewildered by its beauty. Can’t help myself doing crazy stuff while glimpsing a 360 view at the highest peak of Mt. Palay - Palay. To sum up my first hike in Cavite – It was a memorable hike, and I was able to hike again within this year. It feels great to be back and be able to see things progressing for a better.

Wawa Dam | Karugo Falls

Wawa Dam (also known as Montalban Dam) is a gravity dam constructed over the Marikina River in the municipality of Rodriguez in Rizal province, Philippines. The slightly arched dam is situated in the 360-metre (1,180 ft) high Montalban Gorge or Wawa Gorge, a water gap in the Sierra Madre Mountains, east of Manila. It was built in 1909 during the American colonial era to provide the water needs for Manila. It used to be the only source of water for Manila until Angat Dam was built and Wawa was abandoned. Due to insufficiency of water supply for Metro Manila, there was a strong clamor to reuse the dam.
